I love using onions in my recipes. There are many types of onions that will enhance the flavor of the food you are making. Types of onions;

  • Yellow Onions
  • White Onions
  • Red Onions
  • Shallots
  • Green Onions and more.

The one of the problem with using onion in recipe is that sometimes tears and burning happens in eyes when we cut it. There are a few ways to avoid it.

One is to cut onions and keep in water, that will reduce the tears.

Second that I like is, I put onion in fridge 20 minutes before cutting or night before and tears does not come.

Fresh And Healthy Market Gazpacho

Gazpacho remains popular with field hands as a way to cool off during the summer and to use available ingredients such as fresh vegetables and stale bread.

Grilled Veggie Sandwich

I am vegetarian and I made this Grilled sandwiches for friends one day and it was hit! I hope you’ll like it too. It is much more fancier and healthy compared to just plain old grilled cheese sandwiches. I love Quizno Sandwiches and Subway Sandwiches, here is my version of Grilled Veggie Sandwich. Lemon and Garlic Asparagus

Asparagus is one of the healthy thing I like to eat and make various recipes with it. You can simply try it in pasta, soup or just with lemon aioli. Here is great summer recipe with asparagus for side dish or just enjoy as it is;

Ingredients:

Asparagus (2 bunch)

Parsley (chopped about 2 cups)

Olive oil (2 Teaspoon)

Lemon (1 for lemon juice and Lemon Zest)

2 Garlic cloves (minced)

Salt and Pepper per taste

Recipe:

  • Boil 2 bunches asparagus 4 to 5 minutes; drain.
  • Mix 1/2 cup chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon each lemon zest and juice, 2 minced garlic clove, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and salt and pepper in a bowl.
  • Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and top with the parsley mixture.
  • Enjoy

10 Steps to Season Your Cast Iron Cookware

How to season your carbon steel Wok?

Best traditional woks are made of carbon steel material. What is a carbon steel? Carbon steel is usually rolled or hammered into tiny thin sheets of material. Material supposed to be strong and holds heat well enough. Hand hammered and double to triple ply woks are generally best quality.

Important note: This seasoning technique is bare Cast Iron, if you have Enamel Coated Cast Iron cookware, it will not need seasoning.

Step 1:

Wash the wok in hot water with mild detergent soap with a sponge.

Step 2:

Scrub the exterior with scrubber but do not use anything abrasive inside the wok pan.
